This is my first post here, sorry for the dumb question and thank you for all your help in advance.

I found the Canadian Experience Class Immigration program very recently and I think it is a great way for us to immigrate to Canada. Let me tell you our story and hopefully somebody will have some guidance for us.

We are a family of four, us (33 & 28) and our daughters (8 & 6). We are originally from Ecuador but are living in the United States currently.

I would love to study in Canada, and after graduating, start working and living there permanently.

I think the first step is clear enough: Let's find how to study in Canada!.

I have a few questions, I hope that somebody here could help me with answers:

The Canadian Experience Class says that it requires two years of study in Canada... how do I know what careers are two years in length so I can choose one?. I've seen a few colleges but when I start looking for something I would like for either me or my wife it says "Certificate: One Year". Does it count if I take two of these within the same area?, or does it have to be one single certificate worth two years by itself?.

I am originally from Ecuador (which requires a visa to enter Canada) but I am living in the USA. When I apply to my student permit, will they send my student visa to Ecuador?, or would I be able to apply from here?.

Will my wife and daughters be allowed to accompany me if I am accepted to study in Canada?.

I have so many doubts in my mind right now that I don't even know where to start, I think those are the most important ones that come to my mind right now. I will also start reading a lot previous threads in this forum for useful information, but if somebody else has been in my shoes previously I would love to hear from you. Any tips, suggestions, or advice will be very appreciated!.

Thank you once again in advance for your help, and hopefully I will see you one day in Canada!.

:)

1. You realize the cost for international students in Canada. You will have to have proof of the first years tuition, around $10-$14, 000 , Living expenses for a family of 4 for 1 year $20,000 + travel expenses.
2. Your family can accompany if you are accepted.
3. It doesn't define what "graduate" so you could take 2 1 year courses., Note you have to work in a skilled job for 1 year afterwards.
4. Note, if you don't have status in the US, it is unlikely that a study permit will be issued, as CHC will have the opinion that you will not depart.
