Hi,

Does CEC require job experience in relevant fields?
I heard that you should have job experience in your study related fields. For example, an engineer should have job experience in engineering filed. Is it true or NOC 0, A or B category experience works for any professionals?
Thank you.

No, it doesn't have to be related. Some PNP programs have that kind of limitation, but the CEC (and FSW) accepts all NOC 0,A,B jobs with no regard to the connection with your previous studies.

Generally, your field of education and your occupation do not have to be related.

However, some occupations DO have educational and licensing standards - these are regulated occupations and cannot legally be performed without meeting the education and licensing standards.

For example, you can study engineering or nursing, but work as a cook or in business.
But you cannot study business or culinary, and legally work as an engineer or a nurse.
