Canadian Embassy London Apllication

Hello there,
I live in the UK and applying for a visitor visa to Canada next week.
I want to apply in person at the London office, my question is this.

Will I be given a feedback on my application same day? I know they send out your passport back to you by post but will I know whether its been approved or otherwise if I apply in person?

Or is it a case of just submitting your documents and leaving?

Please clarify.

According to the website below, the processing time for visitor visa application in London is about 7 days:
