Canadian Citizenship Application: Work Addresses Clarification

Currently, I’m in the process of filling out my citizenship application and had a few questions I’m hoping someone can help clarify. I searched around but couldn’t find a definitive answer, so any insight is appreciated.

1. Working From Home
  • When you work from home, should you list your home address or the company’s official address as your employer address? (During PR application, in work history section I used employer's address but in personal history I mentioned home address)
  • If you changed home addresses while working for the same company (still from home), do you create a new entry each time your home address changed, or do you just stick with the company’s address or the last home address you worked at for that company?
(once again as I recall in my PR application, in work history section I kept only one entry but in personal history I had put in multiple entries with same employer but with different work from home addresses)
2. Promotion Within the Same Company
  • If you got promoted, do you need two entries (one for each job title and the respective dates), or can you just put it all under one continuous entry that covers the entire time with the company?
  • For my PR application, I recall listing promotions separately in the Activity History, but I’m unsure if that’s still necessary for the citizenship application.

Recommend following the advice in https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/address-at-occupation-or-activity-section.817231/post-10568471

The short version: doing the same as your PR application would likely be fine.

2. Promotion Within the Same Company

As per https://vancouverimmigrationblog.com/three-common-mistakes-canadian-immigration-applicants-make-when-documenting-employment-personal-history-and-my-new-strategy/

My rule of thumb is to over-disclose rather than under-disclose
Which suggests again doing the same as what you did when applying for PR.

Probably doesn't hurt that the answers on the two application forms would be consistent, if anyone at IRCC is checking...
