Canadian citizens working in Canada but living in a border town on the USA side

I am a born and raised Canadian who works in Canada. I work and live in Kingston, ON and am considering moving to Watertown, NY. I still plan on working in Canada, just making the hour-long commute across the border every day. I am still a Canadian working in Canada, but just choosing to live right across the border. What challenges other than the commute will this pose to me?

Do you have a US green card or US citizenship? If not, what kind of permit do you hold that allows you to live in the US?

You can't live in the US just on the basis of being Canadian.
