I need some help and some information from anyone who knows how to go about getting a divorce from someone who lives in Jamaica (Jamaican citizen)

We got married in 2012 and have been separated basically since December 2012, I am a Canadian citizen and my husband is a Jamaican citizen, I would like to file this divorce as soon as possible. We both do not talk whatsoever, and both are on agreement to this divorce.

Can someone plzzzzzzz advise me on the steps I need to take, and the costs for this to be done ASAP!! Thank you :)

This is a family sponsorship forum. We're trying to bring our spouses to Canada. I'm not sure why you posted this here, it's completely irrelevant.

With that said, you would start by going down to the court house, or whoever handles divorces in your area, and file for a divorce... Not much to it really, it's just a matter of getting the ball rolling. Google can provide you everything you need to know.

First of all you have to be separated for 1 full year . Call a divorce lawyer and get some advice. Normally the first hour is free. You can then proceed to divorce your husband by doing it on line since you have both agreed to it.I would look into this asap as i read some where that the laws was changing and on divorce applications was being discontinued.
