Canadian citizen sponsoring wife

I have just got married to my partner who is an asylum seeker in the USA. I am sponsoring her for immigration to Canada. Will my wife be able to get a visitor visa if we apply for this while our application is being processed?

If you are still living in the US you will also have to prove that you intend to relocate to Canada permanently to sponsor your spouse.
