Hi,
My partner is Canadian citizen who has been living abroad for many years. Next year she will move back permanently to Canada. Does my wife need to declare at the border she is moving back permanently? I believe she does if she wants to declare the goods she is bringing in? In reality we would only have a couple of large suitcases, but nothing arriving afterwards by boat. So maybe not necessary?
Would they ask her the reason for her visit and how long she is planning to stay or not since she is Canadian? If she is not asked any question, is it legal for her to not disclose that she is moving back to Canada permanently?
