Hi there,
I hope somebody may be able to help me:
I'm a Canadian born citizen, born in Halifax, Nova Scotia in the 70's, and hold a full Canadian passport, and always have done.
As my mother was from the UK, and she brought me back as an 18month old baby, I came in on passport, and eventually I gained a certificate of patriality.
I'm now planning to return to Canada to live in Vancouver, bringing my (to be) wife with me, a current UK passport holding citizen.
As I understand it, I can easily return, I just need a social security number etc, and my wife would get a temporary residents visa? We could then apply for a permanent residents visa eventually?
Am I correct, or can someone tell me how it works?
Many Thanks
Neil
