Hello folks,
I just moved to Toronto and have a temporary work permit through 2016 (just under three years). I did not have to import my vehicle because of the length of the work permit. I got an Ontario driver's license, Ontario plates, have my car registered in Ontario, and even have a residential parking permit so I can park in front of my apartment.
Do I need to get Canadian car insurance? I've been here a month and still have my US-based insurance with State Farm. I've been searching around and really am not sure if I need to change my insurance. If anyone knows the answer to this question, or has been through a similar experience, I'd like to hear about it.
And recommendations for insurance companies are welcome!
