Canadian address

I am landing in toronto on November 27th 2012

i do not have a canadian address but i called a private PO BOX service and told me that there was no problem that i can pay with my Crdit Card

I have to send my card number and the security code.

I am afraid to give this information through the phone.

I have reading on this forum that many new imigrant where allowed to send a fax with their canadian address afterward of landing

is this true

Even for opening a PO Box, you need a local address as it has to be entered in their system. While landing you could say that you are yet to look for a place to live and that you will do in about 2 weeks. They might accept your current address where you live now. The only issue is you will have to apply for the PR card after you have a local address.

Try calling UPS (Canada) and ask if you could open a box over the phone.You can use any of ur friend's address.
