Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi everyone, I applied for the visitor visa for my parents and shown CAD 73000 funds but the visitor visa was rejected due to the following reason.

I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as required by paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/SOR-2002-227/section-179.html). I am refusing your application because you have not established that you will leave Canada, based on the following factors:

• Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable).

1) I have shown one month stay.
2) My parents are retired.
3) Both my and me are Canadian citizens.

What changes should I make and How long should I wait to reapply?

What are the chances for approval for people who reapply?

Did you mention in the finances portion of the IRCC portal that you will bear the expenses and also in the invitation letter ?

Is the 73000 their liquid savings or yours? If it is yours what amount of savings have your parents shown? Their savings are most important.

You mean to say that they don't grant visa if Parents are financially dependent on children which is mostly the case in South Asia ?

I don't know the answer to your question specifically except that a 6 year multiple entry visa was granted within two months for my mother in law to visit us from Cuba. There is one diffference, though. No one in Cuba outside the government has any money whatsoever and IRCC is aware of that fact. Whereas in South Asia private citizens are allowed to have money. That could be a key factor. So if your parents don't have their own funds that may have been sufficient reason to reject the application.

We only showed $11k CDN in our own funds plus monthly Canadian income.

But since she will stay in our home that was considered plenty. All she could demonstrate was a $15 per month retirement check. People in Cuba are literally at the point of starvation now so I guess IRCC takes pity on them. Who knows?
