Canada Visitor Visa Extension help

Hi,

I have applied for my mom's visitor visa extension. I have received the approval letter and also need to do medical exam within 30 days of approval but my mom has to leave to India due to some emergency. She left to India on 10th day after the approval.

I have a question regarding the medical exam that whether she still needs to do the medical exam in India even though she is not in Canada now?

No, she does not have to do the medicals in India. Her extension lapsed when she left the country

Does she need to inform IRCC that she left to India due to emergency and she was unable to complete the medicals.

She is trying to contact IRCC on 1-888-242-2100 but everytime the call is ending by saying that the call volume is high and check the application status on website... How should she update to IRCC.
