Canada Visitor (Business) Visa - IT Company

Hi Everybody,

I work in India for an IT company. The company has offices in US and India. We have a client in Canada and I have been asked to go there for few weeks to prepare some project related strategies etc. This is the first time that my company is processing a Canadian visa.

My company's legal advisor is suggesting that we should process it as Visitor (Business) visa.

1. I just wanted to take an expert opinion here and find out if that's OK?
2. Would I be requiring a client invitation letter for the same or can it be done without that?
3. What's the maximum duration for which this visa is valid?

1. Your visit must meet the following criteria: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/business-who.asp
2. You can't do any hands on work.
3. Maximum 6 months
4. Yes, you will need a letter from the company outlining what you will be doing.

Yes, I have got both the letters (from my company and the client as well). What kind of proof of funds do we need to submit? For now, I think they'll be submitting my bank statements and documents from the company stating that they'll be paying and funding my account while I'm there. Any thing else which you can recommend?

Could somebody please let me know that other than client invitation letter, is there any other document which I would need to show at the port of entry.

What all questions can i expect to enter on a business visitor visa?
