Canada Visit Visa to my mother alone ( father is not interested now)

Hi ,
need information urgently.

I am from India, need to take a visit visa to my mother as she will come here for 3 months.

- Visa is for Mother alone max she will be here for 3 months ( for my wife delivery)
- Father is not interested to come, moreover there is a name spelling mistake in his passport alone, we found this in last minute.
- So need to apply for Mother alone
- My parents doesn't have job and the properties are on my father's name
- In joint account she has 5 lakhs ( 10,000 CAD) and 3 lakh gold
- on my father name 50 lakh rupees properties are there, he has income but doesn't have income proofs.

Can i apply Visit visa to my mother for 3 months ? will CIC accept the application if i provide the above genuine details?

Coming to my details:
- I am on work permit visa since 1 year, i have CAD 15,000 balance in my account.

Both are bad ideas..... i.e. stating a visit of 3 months = No strong ties to return to India..... and, Your mom wants to visit to take care of your wife/newborn baby = Working illegally on a TRV.

Your mom should keep her visit to 3-4 weeks max..... she must submit a detailed day-by-day itinerary like a typical tourist + to spend time with you and your wife.

No issues at all if he does not want to visit.

You may want to have the mistake in his passport corrected/passport re-issued for any future visa applications.

- So need to apply for Mother alone

That's perfect. Your dad can be shown as the family tie whom your mom has to return to.

1. Do your parents live with other dependent family members? For example, your grandparents or unmarried siblings?
2. Does your mom volunteer for any social or charity causes?
3. Does your dad have any health condition which requires your mom to take care of him?
4. Can your mom prove that she must return to India by a specific date for some reason?

Gold can only be shown as investment. It cannot be included in the 'Funds available for my visit' amount.

Does your dad have any other bank accounts (not owned jointly with your mom)? Any financial investments such as FDs, RDs, shares, mutual funds, pension funds, etc?

Thanks for quick and prompt response.

- My father had arthritis, do we need to provide the doctor certificate by mentioning that "he need support from family member".?
- By applying both can i mention anywhere in the application that one character is missing in father's passport name ? will this work? ( if passport cannot be corrected within 10 days i would go for this option)

You can include a note from his doctor + any other similar evidence.

But do be careful about mentioning this. It could backfire if you apply for your dad later because it might seem like he could put excessive demand on Canada's healthcare system.

I would recommend that you do NOT apply for your dad presently. Apply first only for your mom. Your mom has a better chance of a TRV approval if she indicates that your dad is the family tie.

You can apply for your dad after your mom is approved. Your dad has property which can be shown as a reason to return + in the meanwhile, you'll need to sort his unofficial income to show that as his employment and financial ties

Although it is not mandatory, you should buy an Overseas Travel Medical Policy and include it in your mom's TRV application
