CANADA VISIT VISA FROM BAHRAIN

Dear All,

I am Pakistani national working in Bahrain from last 10 years as Sales Executive (Salesman visa status). i have valid Bahrain work visa. Since Canadian embassy is in UAE, all visas will be issued by respected embassy. i have some quires/questions, please guide me under Canadian immigration law and your experience.

1. Do i have to travel from Bahrain to UAE to apply for said visa?
2. what documents are required to apply visa?
3. would travel history effect on my visa application? i have traveled to Saudi Arabia twice and once to Turkey.
4. How long would it take to process?
5. Do i have to book hotel and air ticket for tour in advance?

Please tell in details as i am new to process for such visa.
i don't have siblings in Canada.

Hi,

1. Do i have to travel from Bahrain to UAE to apply for said visa?

As you hold a Pakistani passport, you must give biometrics. Hence, you will have to travel to a CVAC that handles visa applications for the Abu Dhabi visa office (Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Muscat, Kuwait City or Doha).

2. what documents are required to apply visa?

Travel history only shows that a visitor is likely to return to his/her home country/country of residence.

KSA and Turkey do not really count as travel history for a Canada TRV. However, you must list them in your application.

4. How long would it take to process?

Approx. 11 days for the Abu Dhabi visa office. These are only indicative.... and processing time varies from application to application.

5. Do i have to book hotel and air ticket for tour in advance?

Not necessary. You can submit a tentative travel itinerary/provisional bookings.... and mention you will confirm it once a TRV is issued.

You must prove you have a genuine reason to visit Canada + strong reasons to return to Bahrain (employment/family/property or leased accommodation/good financial situation, etc)
