Canada visa extension with a drop:

Hello everybody
Actually I am thinking of getting my visa extended . Currently, i have my visa till ( DEC 31 2020) and i have 6 courses left so technically i have to do two more semesters. Actually summer session is the official drop from the university so i don't want to take any classes in the summer so, i was thinking of applying for the extension in june because i have seen it is taking really long to get visa extension nowadays:
My question is that i have heard that i can not apply for the extension in the june this year because i will be taking the summer drop .So is it true or not?

Terminology matters. There is a very big difference between a drop, which is when YOU choose not to study during a scheduled semester, and a scheduled break, which is when the entire program is on break. You can apply for the extension in June.

Actually summer session is the scheduled break from our university (University of the fraser valley) this means i can apply for extension in summer?
