Hi,

I read on CIC website that medical examination is not required by a person if he is travelling to Canada for less than 6 months.

I want to know if this is true.

Can a person under treatment for tumor be eligible for at least 5 months of visitor visa?

Thanks & Regards,

Yes - it's certainly possible to obtain a visitor visa. Make sure you take out very comprehensive travel health insurance since that person will have no health care coverage while visiting Canada.

will need to ensure travel insurance covers pre existing medical conditions or as a minimum that any medical condition is declared to the insurance company else insurance would be void. If under treatment for a tumour then i would think treatment affects the immune system so need keep that in mind as well when travelling. CBSA will not check if a visitor has insurance as they assume someone wont be stupid enough to not have cover given in country costs.
