Hi,

I have recently applied for Canadian study permit for myself and temporary resident visa for my wife. Our visas were approved. But, when we got our passports back, there was a letter with passports. On that letter, it states that "Study Permit will be issued at port of entry .......". I could not understand when my passport is already stamped with student visa; then why study permit will be issues at port of entry? If any one has gone through it, please response and explain. Please reply at your earliest.

Thanks

The visa in your passport is only for entry into Canada, as it's called "temporary resident visa". It's not meant for study.
When you arrive in Canada, an immigration officer will process you at the border and issue a separate study permit.
