According to the Henley Visa Global Ranking Index, Canada currently ranks 9th in terms of the number of countries that its citizens can travel to without a visa. As of August, 2010, Canadians could travel to 157 countries without a visa.Canada is currently behind Austria (158), the United States, Norway, and Ireland (159), Belgium, Japan, and Spain (160), France, Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands (161), Finland (162), Sweden (163), Denmark (164), and the United Kingdom, which currently ranks first with its citizens being able to visit 166 countries without a visa.
Canada is tied with Australia and New Zealand.
