Can anyone pls illuminate on below queries:

1. What are the pre-requisite for someone to become Canada citizen after getting PR?
I searched the internet and found this info:
  • Have lived in Canada as a PR for at least 4 years out of the 6 years (1,460 days) before you apply.
  • Be physically present in Canada for at least 183 days of each year during the 4-year period.
  • Apply for citizenship from within Canada.
Can anyone pls confirm if this is correct and absolute requirement for Canadian citizenship. Also is it needed to take IELTS again while applying for citizenship?

2. What are the possibilities for US work and stay once someone get Canada PR?
Can someone having Canadian PR work in US?
How things change once one get Canadian citizenship in this scenario.

Thank you in advance.

No, that's the old requirement. The new one is for 3/5 years, not 4/6

They have also removed the 183 day requirement. Now you just need 3/5 years of presence.

You don't have to retake the IELTS, but you do need to prove language skills.

The main difference is that they will accept your degree as proof of your language skills as long as the medium of instruction was English/French, which is the case for most people. There's a list of other things they'll accept as proof, check this link.

Canadian PRs don't get any special benefits as far as working in the US is concerned. You'll be treated as a foreign worker, and the usual rules will apply (H1-B etc).

Canadian citizens do get the benefit of NAFTA, under the TN visa program. You can read about that here
https://www.uscis.gov/working-united-states/temporary-workers/tn-nafta-professionals

The TN visa has different rules and cannot be treated as a defacto green card.
