Canada Post Item out for delivery for 2 days

Im in same position here. Sent passports on Aug 10 and still showing out for delivery as of this morning. I spoke with Canadapost and the response is that if you request signature on delivery (which i did), it will take a while before it changes because CIC does not acknowledge since its a P. O Box delivery. Canadapost maintained that the mail was delivered.

if by next wk, the return tracker is not activated, I will call CIC.

got passports back with copr. landed at rainbow bridge.

What happened to my passport? Out of delivery for 3 days. I am going to another country next month.
I really need it!Someone help me check the mailbox plz!

Obviously he did that, which is why he knew it had a status of out for delivery for two days. An old thread, I know, but your post didn't really contribute much to the thread.

The same thing happened to my ESL student. His package still shows as out for delivery. I set up email notifications on canadapost.ca for both of our email addresses so we can both be notified when it is delivered, and we got the "Delivery Notification For Item" email on Friday. However, it still shows as out for delivery. The "Delivery Notification For Item" email is odd in that it doesn't contain the tracking number, and it just says "item delivered on" with no date after it. However, the "delivery notification for item" email came in at 8:40 local time, four minutes after the time listed on the "out for delivery" message on canadapost.ca, so it's a safe bet it has been delivered.

Update: the COPR was delivered to my student today, so chalk this up as another case of the documents going to Ottawa still showing "out for delivery" yet the return documents are here.

This is normal, status online would show out for delivery for items delivered to CIC. This is because CIC does not provide signature for items received and online status would not change but when you call Canada post rep, you will get to know the exact status. It had me puzzled when I had shipped my PP for Visa stamping sometime back.
