If both husband and Wife are applying for the express entry then should we both maintain the balance in the account to show the 6 months average PoF or can we maintain in a joint account to show the proof?

Do we need to maintain the account from the date when we create the express entry profile?

They won't consider proof of fund of the dependent's account. If you are maintaining it in a joint account then primary applicant should be the primary account holder.

In case fund is in dependent's account then he/she can transfer it into primary account holder and can include a gift deed in the application.
