Suggestions suggestions , ::)

I'm in dilemma what to choose Canada or Australia for migration , I'm masters in international marketing and would like to move with my wife and kid .

In Canada visa process is rigid and taking family with is seems complicated .

Australia seems easy option to above concern and PR chances are not as easy as compare to Canada .

So therefor came to this forum for some wise advice Gentleman.

Education of Aus is little bit expensive than Canada and Moreover In canada they treat you like first come first serve but in australia there's a bit of racism. Australians are given priorities first then europeans then Indians. Canada too have but not more than Australia. Every country do too.

Australian students don't have part time jobs except farming or car wash so forget about if you can't earn some dollars on your own while Canada is large great country second largest in whole world so you can imagine jobs. So part time jobs are opportunity for you. If you get good grades you might be lucky to do job of your own fied. But In Australia field related job is really really difficult.

Rest depends on you. Its just a experience and discussions with friends and relatives.

Good luck.

Forget to Mention PR :

For Australia chances are really really slight chances. You might be lucky one or chosen one to get PR there.

But for Canada. you'll get so much help from the senior members here. My friend went to winnipeg in Jan 2010. He holded PR in just 2 and half years. Everyone was shocked and This is possible in Canada not in Australia.

Again, Choice is yours.

yes canada's land area is huge, but the population is low compared to other countries. so this statement doesnt provide enough proof that you can get part time jobs easily.

Actually I believe if one steps foot on Canada. He/She eventually get a job somehow.

I have so many friends there and they told me its easy to get a job. Some of my friends are into two part times jobs one in barrie and other in Toronto. Both at KFCs and Earning good.

Thats what i've been told.

For jobs Australia is much better, unskilled too, lower unemployment and higher wages, can work since first day in Canada after 6 months.
In Canada a waiter earns 10$ in Australia 20$.
PR chances depends on what you study, slightly easier in Canada.
Both places are costly.

My neighbor she used to pluck either fruits or vegetable wearing some jacket on because there were thorns on them and When her mom visited her she did the same just to help her out with the living..

Then She moved to Canada. She's doing her studies at Toronto University and Recently her brother got accepted in centennial college in sept' intake.

So you can imagine about Australia. I have so many relatives at Australia and they tell me here and there about Australia quite everyday, same with New zealand too and Moreover about waiter thing I told you one could get lucky not everyone.

Well Decision is yours.

You can't find everything you need in once place. Lot many people have already commented enough. However, I do not agree to all they have said, but then finally this is your life, your decision.

PR, JOB good life - These all depends on individuals. I won't compare racism in Canada and Australia or even the Job prospects. Like one of the users knows people with no success in Australia, I know some with great success there. And I know some people with no success in Canada at all.

Indeed, someone mentioned about wage rate in Australia, and he/she was bang on target. That's why many Kiwis move to Australia.
And yes PR chances in Canada are higher than Australia. But then consider, someone just barely did PG in Canada and didn't find a job or option to fall in PNP program will eventually pack his/her bags and move back or get deported.

Same way, someone in Australia found a job relevant to profile and filed PR. Now, let me clear one thing, I am not favoring Canada or Australia. I myself is in Canada at the moment. I can only suggest, if you are thinking of an easy way to get PR ( of course you will have to earn it, it's not served to anyone just like that), then Canada isn't a bad choice. But it's all a gamble you play no matter how hard to prepare.

Some province in Canada have got easy PNP programs to secure PR. But so is the case with Australia which I guess some people don't know. If you move to any place other than Melbourne or Sydney, credits you need to secure PR are slightly less, in other words easier than these two hot spots.

So take your time, do your research, consider all the aspects and make a call.

Best of luck!

Cheers!

Cheers shabby ,

I'm very much agreed with your valid points as Australia need 60 points to get eligible for PR and I do manage to get 80 and got offer letter for good Australian university in regional area near brisben.
Course is for 2 year and then Post study visa for 2 year .
Fee is 24 thousand AUD .

Now Canada consultant of mine told he can only manage to get me in PG Diploma for one year fee would be 15K Canadian dollar .
Post study work visa would be again for a year and visa chances are minimum due to course is not progressive in nature as I have already done my masters in UK.
PR chances depends if I can get admission in Alberta and secure job .
