Canada- lOVING IT SOMEtimes.....Why Am i here???

Landed in canada last year....its been 8 months now here in canada....use to hear this frm people living in foreign "busy" in work...now i realise why they say this all the time...This is the life here....work work n if u r a student its study n work...

But loving it...no matter how the life is love the place.....Bless u all...take care..

How about Niagara college and part time jobs there. Which campus would be right as far as jobs, transportation are concerned? NOTL or Welland?

Not really You can work full time in regular breaks after you got your off camous workpermit. Then otherwise with the off campus workpermit its 20 hours per week.

Talking abt alberta here it is once you are done with ur studies you should have 6 mnths job in ur own field n then u can apply for p.r

I think this kind of rule applies to all provinces...

No idea buddy as it is in Ontario. But as far jobs are concerned its better to have a part time job with studies to support some of your expenses.

Same here AngelAman.. 8months and no time to think where we are? whats going on ? 2 semesters are over 3rd is week ahead to start. College- work- sleep, college-work-sleep

But its a lovely, beautiful place to live in. safe and secure.

you can work 7*24 but its illegal for a student. Legally Student can work after 6 months of regular studies on obtaining social insurance number(SIN card). On SIN you can work 20hrs/week during college. On vacations you can work 40/week. on SIN you pay 13% tax to govt. on cash no tax. Most of students start working on cash as they land.

usually its 40hrs/week. but if exceeds i think they pay you extra for over time. but the schedule is prepared accordingly for 40hrs/week.
