Hi every body
I am from Nepal. I am here in the UK since 2 years. I have completed MBA degree from UK. By profession, I am a chef in Indian Cuisine since 2 years, part time. Back to my home, I worked as a Croupier in Casino for more than 5 years. I have forwarded my documents to ICAS Canada and they say that it has been placed in queue for assessing. I have already done my IELTS general test but unfortunately I got 5.5 in listening. All others 6 and above. Now my age is 29. I have my wife with me. She works as a Health Care Assistant in a residential care home since 2 years.

Now my query is how can I move successfully to Canada ? I am trying for express entry but I suspect I will not be able to acquire enough points as I do not have a job offer.

Can any kind heart help me ?

In keeping with Nepali tradition, consider joining the US army under the MAVNI program. Citizenship in a month :)

Hello Mpmainaly,

Well let's try to figure out on the answer to your questions -

I am from Nepal. I am here in the UK since 2 years. I have completed MBA degree from UK. By profession, I am a chef in Indian Cuisine since 2 years, part time.
Well your part time experience counts well as it is of two years - CIC requires one full time or equivalent (which is two part time) work experience, which you have.

Back to my home, I worked as a Croupier in Casino for more than 5 years.
This is more good that you got over 5 year work experience back home BUT I am not sure that will experience as Croupier will help in any sort in real.

I have forwarded my documents to ICAS Canada and they say that it has been placed in queue for assessing.
Again fine as they got their own procedures and their timeline.

I have already done my IELTS general test but unfortunately I got 5.5 in listening. All others 6 and above. Now my age is 29.
Well with 5.5 in listening, you need to give IELTS again. BTW please share your total as well as section wise score so to analyse your situation more correctly. Your age is fine BUT believe for maximum points to get, you are standing on age boundary.

I have my wife with me. She works as a Health Care Assistant in a residential care home since 2 years.
This is more good. Is she is working in UK and also is it full time or part time? Can you please elaborate on that. Also, did she had given IELTS too?

Now my query is how can I move successfully to Canada ? I am trying for express entry but I suspect I will not be able to acquire enough points as I do not have a job offer.
For this, I am thinking on better to make your wife as main applicant and you as dependant.

Hope this helps.
