Hi! So I have a few questions regarding entry to Canada for work. I used to live in the United states (lived there since I was 5 to age of 21) and I got a DUI, so being illegal in the country I had a voluntary deportation... i am now 25 so 4 years have past since.. My question is do I need a visa from the United states to be able to fly or be able to live in Canada??

When did you complete your sentence / pay your fine for the DUI?

You are inadmissible to Canada until 5 years have passed since the date you completed your sentence / paid your file for the DUI. Once 5 years have passed, you will have to apply for rehabilitation to be able to enter Canada either to work or live.
