I am from India, currently holding Canada CoPR and yet to make my landing in Canada for PR, with CoPR validity date until May2023.
Also, I recently got my L1B visa sponsorship from my current employer.
Now I am confused, how to go about both. What are the pros/cons in both.
Case 1 -
I am thinking to first goto US and from there to Canada - do a soft landing and come back to US.
Q1) Do I have to inform IRCC about the move to US and then landing from US to Canada?
Q2) Is soft landing happening these days? If yes, can I soft land from US to Canada and then return back to US after filling for PR and provide a friend's address to collect the PR on my behalf? Will that pose any issue at the immigration from Canada to US return?
Case 2 -
Q1) If I first goto Canada and do a soft landing to file for my PR, and return back to India, and have my friend collect my PR and later parcel it to me, will that pose any issue?
Q2) Would that affect the US process in any way?
Anyone gone through similar scenario, your help would be very much appreciated.
