- Application received by CIC on 29Jan2009
- ECAS Status on 24Feb2009 showed in Process
- CIC Letter on 2Mar2009 requesting for additional forms
- Reply to CIC on 12Mar2009
- ECAS Status on 01Apr2009 showed Decision made (letter sent out on 30Mar2009)
- Letter received on 07Apr2009 - Sponsorship was accepted and file transmitted to Singapore office (not to Quebec?)
Hello all,
I have some good news and some hmmm, unsure news.
My sponsorship has been accepted and the file sent to the Singapore High Commission. That is GREAT news! We got about a month delay because of the forms "missing".
I have a question now.
My wife and I are planning to live in Montreal, Quebec. I was expecting the CIC letter to direct me to send forms to the MICC but they didn't mention anything about the Certificat de Selection du Quebec at all. Nada. The only mentioned that sponsorship is accepted and that the file was transferred to Singapore High Commission.
Once again, is it because this is an outland application from a Sponsor living outside of Canada that CIC is skipping MICC? Has anyone seen this case before? Is the CSQ always required for all cases going to live in Quebec?
Thank you all - Thanks for the great moral and technical support of this Forum.
Cheers,
Jean
