Hi,

I've got my immigrant visa and was planning to visit Canada for a very short period (2 working days and the weekend) to complete landing formalities.

I understand the following will be required:
(1) Fill PR card application form
(2) Get a SIN number

I will be giving my relative's address for delivery of the PR card and SIN card.

Please can anyone advise if both of the above requirements can be completed in 2 working days and if anything else as part of the landing procedure is required?

Secondly as I'll just be visiting for 4 days, please advise if health insurance is a requirement or not as I don't intend to buy health insurance.

Thanks for the assistance

Hi
1-you don't need to fill in PR card form,as it will be done at airport by the immigration officer.
2-You can apply for SIN no same day after your done landing if you have time till 5pm or you can do it next day.
i don't think so need health insurance for few days.
i hope that helps
regards n best wishes
Happy Landing

Generally Officers advice you not to leave until you get your PR card, if you are from countries where you do not need a visa to enter Canada, it will not be an issue. 2 of my friends had this problem.
