CAN YOU RENEW AN INDIAN PASSPORT IF YOU STILL HAVE TWO YEARS TILL EXPIRY?

Hey guys, I received the visa request from CHC but it states that the passport should be valid for the duration of study. My passport expires in 2015. What should I do? Can I still renew it or is it something like passports can only get renewed in the last 6 months before expiry date?

well....that sounds a little issue coz if your passport must necessarily be valid for the full duration of study program, if its not, i'd suggest you to get it renewed first , dont submit until then.

now if your passport was initially issued for a duration of less than 10 years, it can be renewed with no issue at all BUT if it was issued for 10 yrs duration , it can not be renewed more than one year before the expiration date according to the rules.

now you know The Great Indian JUGARD , i believe there must be some way you can get it renewed , may be agents outside passort office can tell you if they can do it , though be careful about fraudsters
and yea , talk to the head of passport office , tell him your situation, he can tell you a possible way to do it, if any.

I think its just a year b4 u can get it renewed.
What u can do pick up a passport agent and he will surely help u with that or jus get a FIR saying that u lost ur passport and then apply for a new 1 (But then make sure u would not be able to attach this passport with the new 1, so u mite be at loss if ur current passport has visas...)

pick up a passport agent he would be having a better way out.
