Can you apply for a student permit from within canada?

Hi, Im from country that doesnt require visa for short visits,,,could i apply for student visa from within canada?

Apply you can, the problem would be getting the Study Permit, from what i know it is only given to you in the airport once you go through the immigration officers, which you can only do if you came by plane.

Anyway which country you are from? Usually it's not possible. One needs to apply for Study Permit from home country. For example, there are some relaxation for people from Crotia etc so depends on country too! but as I said, usually you need to apply for SP from home country.
