Hello All,

I am about to complete my 1 year Canadian experience by mid of December but i have a few questions regarding calculation of hours

I was told to take a furlough mandatory vacation for period of 1 week during last year Christmas

But, in this year i have worked overtime in the weekends as well as during the weekdays

Since i have worked over time can that be adjusted with the 1 week vacation that i look last year or do i need to work for extra 1 week to adjust the furlough vacation time

Thanks in advance

Hello All,

There is no calculation of hours unless you worked part.-time (fewer than 30 hours per week). If you worked full-time, you simply count the weeks.

I am not really sure what you are asking. Paid vacation still counts as employment, you don´t need to adjust anything (as long as it is not excessive, or an unpaid leave of absence).

Likewise, overtime has no impact on how you count your eligibility. Whether you work 30, 40 or 80 hours per week, it is still just counted as a full-time week.
