Can we update our CRS score during the 3 months process? (OOPNP)

Yes, you can. OOPNP is for the additional 600 CRS points, completely separate from the score you have right now. Hence your updates will not affect OOPNP. However, read the OOPNP application guide thoroughly there are certain sections which advise you to update Opportunities Ontario with the information specially regarding family. Other than that you should be fine.

Thanks for your reply. I will be writing the IELTS test again to improve my CRS score but I think I will submit my OOPNP application before the results come in. So I am wondering if I can update my IELTS mark during the processing time. Thanks

I think your IELTS attempt wouldn't matter to OOPNP or rather you'll have limited control over the situation after submitting the application.

OOPNP selects based on the cutoff of 400 and then they have internal processes to decide who they would select and issue nominations. As I understand, OOPNP application is paper based so it will be extremely unlikely that they will be open to receiving updates from applicants AFTER submissions. It is not online like EE where this process is easier and can be done till you receive an ITA.

All of this is just hypothesizing based on what we know from their site. All the best for your IELTS attempt! If nothing, hope it helps you increase your CRS score and land an ITA without waiting for OOPNP to get back to you in 90 days!

What if my circumstances change (I re-take my language test, I get married, etc) after I apply for a nomination?
MCIIT must be notified if there is any change to your personal information or circumstance that is detailed on your Nominee Application Form, including (but not limited to):

a change in immigration status (expiration or change in work/study permit);
a change in employment status (loss of employment or new employer);
changes to your contact information;
any change which could affect your federal Comprehensive Ranking Score (CRS) score; or
changes in family composition due to marriage or common-law relationship, the birth of a child, a change of custody of a child, divorce/separation, or death.
Failure to notify MCIIT of any changes to your personal information or circumstance will affect the outcome of your MCIIT and CIC applications.
