Hi

I have a question.

Currently if we are in Canada waiting for PR card, can we travel out of canada without PR card and travel in after few months later?

You can travel outside Canada with out a PR card, but you might need a PR Card or a Travel Document to re enter into Canada. Also, if you are leaving country via London or Frankfurt, you need to have a transit visa or a valid Canadian Visa.

May I know the procedure to travel in to canada without PR card(waiting for PR Card)?

The only option is to get a Canadian tourist visa to re-enter in that case.

Hi,

You can travel out and re-enter into Canada with your CoPR only if you are travelling by road(in most of the cases from US). In all other cases either PR card or a travelling document is must.

A PR cannot get a tourist visa.

As said above, the only way for a non visa-exempt PR to return to Canada is with a PR card, a PR Travel Document or by crossing the US-Canada border on foot or in a private vehicle with the COPR .

One of my friends asked the same question to a visa officer at the boarder for landing with COPR letter and the officer said It is ok but is not recommended as you might need to do this last process again at the airport immigration boarder. the important thing here is, "IS NOT RECOMMENDED"

What do you mean, "might need to do this last process again"? If you are referring to the actual landing as a PR, that is entirely wrong and your friend misunderstood. Once a person is a PR, they cannot "re-land".

It is perfectly acceptable for a PR to travel out of Canada before receiving their card and then return to Canada through any of the ways mentioned in my previous post.
