Can we submit biometrics in Canada for a PR app?

Thanks in advance for all your assistance. This forum has been really, really helpful and we really appreciate all the content.

I'm a Canadian citizen and I sponsored my wife under spousal sponsorship last September (2018). Our application is being processed out of Paris.
We've just received the email to submit biometrics - and the form explicitly states that the biometrics must be submitted outside Canada if the PR is currently in Canada.
My wife is currently in Canada on a TRV and we were really hoping that she would be in Canada to get the PPR/CoPR, so that we could file it at a PoE while here instead of December which is when we'll be back next.

Does anyone know if it's possible to submit biometrics in Canada for a PR spousal sponsorship app? Does anyone know of any exceptions in the process?

1. No, you can't due the biometrics in Canada there are no exceptions. You will have to go to the US or another country.
