Can we keep ready our PCC before we received request from CIC, because I received mail from CIC saying that if they require any document its should be valid for next 6 months that means which document do you think?
I did medical recently.............paid RPRF ................which document they want? and it should be valid for next 6 months.
I am getting crazy because I did my medical twice and PCC once.
Plz guide me.
Thank you.

There is no use of keeping a PCC ready as according to CIC, the PCC must be issued no more than three months before the date of submission. This info is available on CIC website:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/intro.asp

As far as your question on PCC is concerned, it is always better to look for such basic info on the CIC website instead of asking on the forum as someone might give you wrong/misleading info. You will probably need to submit fresh PCC for all countries where you/your spouse stayed more than six months. Start working on arranging PCC only when instructed by your visa office as the PCC will expire if visa office doesn't ask for them and you will have to repeat the whole exercise again.

Regarding your second question about document validity more than 6 months at the time of submission, I am not sure which document they may be referring to. My best guess is that these maybe some specific documents which are required at your visa office only. Wait for more instructions from the visa office.

So guys just a clarification as it states that

The certificate must be issued no more than three months before you apply.

So let's say I got my PCC in country x which have a 1 year validity in December 12, 2013. Then I submitted my application for AINP in January 3,2014. I got a PCC request in Feb.15 2014. I submitted all the PCC requested on March 27, 2014.Would it mean that my first PCC I got in. December 2013 is already invalid?

I am just a bit confused as it stated before you apply. So the first PCC is technically valid as the application for PR was submitted only 3 weeks after the first PCC was issued.

Anybody have thoughts on this?

This is stated with the assumption that you will actually include the PCC with your application.

No. It doesn't matter that it was still valid when CIC initially received your PR app in January. The actual PCC was more than 3 months old when CIC received it, so it was no longer valid.

If you got the PCC in December, you should have just included it when you submitted your app in January, or at least sent it in as soon as you received the request in February.

Thank you all for clarification.....but yes that statement is lil confusing. Before we apply?
I have submitted mine PCC 3 years back. But yes within 3 months(within the time margin).
Now they have asked me to redo medical , will they ask me to re do PCC as well?
I know medicals are no longer valid after 12 months. But we have supposed submitted our PCC within their time margin as they have stated on site that "The certificate must be issued no more than three months before you apply".
Then what are the possibilities of asking to repeat PCC?
Where it is mention that PCC is valid only for one year? as they have mention only about medical that its valid only for 12 months.

Thank you in advance.

It is not a matter of the PCC expiring. CIC has no idea if you've committed any crimes in those 3 years since they received the first PCC, so it's very possible that they will request a new one that covers that 3 year span.
