Hi friends,

Can we submit two EE applications?

I had 449 in June and then I applied for Ontario PNP. I got nominated in sep and applied PR through EE with 1049 points. It's been 4 months and no update on my PR application. PR under PNP is very slow process.

Now, my Canada experience has been reached to 3 years so I get additional 10 points. So I get 459 points now with out PNP and I may get ITA under cec (super fast PR processing). I may get PR with in two months if I submit under CEC.

So can I submit my PR under CEC category while my PR is in process under PNP?

I don't know if this possible. You have to enter your Passport Number, Name, ECA reference code, Language results reference code etc in one profile and I don't know if the system would allow for a duplicate profile with exactly the same information.

Disclosure: This is my thought process as I have never tried to do this myself.

No, you'll be input same info for your "separate profile", and you'll be asked "Have you ever applied via EE?" & "What's your previous EE profile #?"etc, even if you successfully created your new profile, I guess you'll be flagged in the EE system immediately due to the fact that you already have an application "in process", and doing so will cause:

A: Both of your application ended refused
B: CIC will be nice enough to notify you to drop one of them
C: EE system is so dumb and CIC case officers feeling you deserve 2 PPRs

You'll get same conclusion if you really think it through, and if you feeling like to be nice and fair enough, just think about there's another person in this world with a CRS of 458, 457...and so on, he/she is waiting for an ITA as bad as you did!

Even if you could, it makes no sense. Since you're September AOR you'll get a PPR in month or two, while CIC processes CEC in ~2 months. So in worst case for your PNP app you'll get PPRs at the same time.

you can have two applications at the same time. As long as you pay processing fee for both, you can have as many as you want really. I read it somplace in the CIC web page, look for it. There is even instruction on what cic should to once you recive PPR for ether of those: cancel the other one by defoult. No penalties or anything similar...

For 2 different programs, Yes. Not for the same program.

EE is 1 program with multiple streams so you are expected to not have more than 1 active EE profile at the same time. You can certainly have an EE application and a non-EE application simultaneously.

it seems this is another gray area.. for example, when they rejected my application, while I wated for their response on my request to reoped it., I created a second profile where I got interest letter from ontario.

When my first profile was reopened, I had two active profiles: One for PR, and the other one still in the pool.

I did some research and found that this is indeed possible to have, and that in such cases officers assesing the appliacations should simply close the other application for PR once the first one is approved.

In ontario manual, I also somwhere read that you can have two applications at the same time.

This is definitely not the usuall course of action, but it is also not penalized ( so far), and it is up to you if you want to pay two processing fees and have two applications at the same time.

If indeed creating a second profile was not possible, than you would not have the option to "create profile in EE" in mycic account while your pr application is beeing processed - and if you check your mycic account you will see there is an option to do that.
In cases such as applicaton for work holiday visa, once you have a profile in the pool, there is no longer an option to create a second profile.

Creating a second profile is not the issue, you should be able to create many EE profiles (technically). The issue is with having 2eAPR's. Or one Paper based and one eAPR.
I agree with Asivad, it won't be possible

this is for one papers based and the other via EE.. I dont know if this helps:

Applicants who have multiple applications in process

Processing offices may encounter applicants who submitted an APR prior to the launch of Express Entry (before January 1, 2015) and also submitted an e-APR through the Express Entry system (on or after January 1, 2015).

Foreign nationals may apply for multiple immigration programs at once, as long as they have paid the required cost recovery fees for each program to which they have applied. For example, a foreign national could apply under the CEC if invited to do so through Express Entry, and could also apply under the caring for children class outside of the Express Entry system.

If an applicant has more than one application for permanent residence approved, the applicant must choose the program under which they would like to be granted their permanent resident status.

Once permanent resident status is granted, any other pending APRs should be administratively withdrawn and the applicant notified.

Interesting read Yelena, but would that allow an applicant apply under FSW (paper based) and then FSW EE?

Hmmn, this makes a very interesting read then. My CRS was 459 till i got SINP PN and subsequesntly ITA.
I should be able to create another EE profile and wait to get ITA if that's the case.

Thanks Team for your views and suggestions. I am in dilemma now on this as my company(current job) demands my PR to continue to work here in Canada. I had a hope after getting ITA via PNP but its been 4 months and no update. If I don't get my PR by Jan end then I may have to move back to my home country( I loose my job) as some one is ready to replace me after jan if I dont get my PR by then.
