Hello seniors ,
I have applied for a year post graduate diploma course in toronto which is due to start on Jan 2016. My intention is to get PR and settle in Canada.I was wondering ,is it possible to file for PR express entry while on study visa(in between the course ) . or do I have to wait for mycourse to be completed. I have already given my ielts and my score is around 375 . so can I file my express entry profile ?

The first thing is that DO YOU HAVE 1 YEAR OF CONTINUOUS FULL-TIME WORKING EXPERIENCE ?

Secondly, Have you already gotten your Student Visa for Canada ? If yes, then feel free to apply. If NO, then i would highly suggest not to apply or even make your EE profile.

This is because, in your student Visa application, you assure the VO that you will leave Canada after your study is finished. If you already have your PR application online in system, this would give different idea and there's high chance of you getting refused for student visa.

I don't think that your CRS score could achieve a high one without a Masters or work experience in Canada.

@ Rafzy I think both are totally independent. I'm student now and submitted my EE

Thanks rafzy ....I am still waiting for my study visa to get approved. Fingers crossed .
These consultants gives such false information . he said that PR filling on a study visa is not possible and may lead to deportation .
I just need to ask one more than. Its better to have a full 1 year continuous work ex from Canada. Should it be related to your previous studies and previous experience ? I am a btech and will pursuit pg diploma in wireless and have 4 years of technical specialit it experience .Will I gain any extra points if work in a different line of business in Canada for a year ?
A big thanks

In your case, its better to wait till you get your student visa approved and then you submit your profile for EE.
PR application during student visa certainly will not lead to deportation.
For experience in Canada, it doesnot has to be continous nor it has to be acquired in one NOC. You can have experience in multiple NOCs and a cummulative 1 year will work for you.

Thanks for replying fast. So does that mean any kind of work experience will work in canada ? or it must be from NOC (A or B) skilled professionals. from what i have heard from others , its not easy to find a suitable job related to the course done and students have to rely on non skilled jobs like general helpers /cashiers to survive. Will non skilled work exp count towards your CRS scores?

Thanks Seniors

Only skilled work experience (NOC 0/A/B) acquired while not being a full time student in Canada counts as valid Canadian work experience for EE.
