Hello Friends,

My only Concern is 'Can i Change my job/ employer as i have received my PR Card recently.
Actually my employer has sponsored me or say Offered an Official LMIA and on the basis of that
LMIA, i have received the Permanent Residency and consequently PR Card too.
Its been only 2 months now and i am looking for change...
will i be able to switch my job.? or my PR status could be cancelled with this move..
or the employer could ask the CIC to Cancel my residency status....i am pretty confused

I would Humbly Request the Senior Member to please, put some light on this issue
ad advice me accordingly...!

I would be looking for your Kind Assistance and suggestion..!!!
Many Thanks
Tom

Congratulations on your PR!

You can do whatever you want now you have your PR. You aren't obligated to stay.

its only been 2 months now.

Best Regards

It's a valid question, but you have no need to worry. You're employer has no sway over your PR status at all.

Even people who have PNPs aren't legally obligated to remain in a province. If you have your PR card in hand you are essentially a citizen, and free to move as you please. Your employer cannot change or cancel your pr status at all.
