Can we attach a scanned document to the file?

Hello,

I am sponsoring my wife. She is in india right now. I have got all the documents signed and brought with me but missed one document. I am back to canada and she is in india. I was wondering, can I get her to sign the document, scan it and send it to me so that i can print it and attach with the file or does it have to original signed document?

You mean she missed a signature on one of the IMM documents?

I suppose you could try what you are suggesting, but I suspect you will seriously risk rejection - personally, I wouldn't risk it.

I am pretty certain that only an original will do. She could always courier it to you (costly, but then a small percentage of the overall costs).

Thanks for the info. yes, thats right. she missed to sign on one of the IMM.

No its not about money, its time. I was just checking if that works so that I can save some time. I will try to get original.

no dnt attached scaned docs itz strictly mentioned on CIC website.use courier services.I did too .it took only 72 hours for dhl courier cost around 2500 as our package was nearly a 1 kg.yours could be less as itz just a one doc.
