Can we apply for SOWP While my wife is waiting for PGWP application result?

If there is anyone that experienced or know anything regarding this kindly help us. We are currently not sure what to do next. My wife has just applied for PGWP we plan to apply for me SOWP we read somewhere that we can't apply since she is still waiting results for PGWP. Is this true?

Your wife should have applied for your SOWP when she applied for her PGWP. But since she already applied, you have to wait until she gets PGWP approval and get a job in NOC 0,A or B (wife needs to provide 3 paystub when applying for your SOWP).
