My CRS score coming as 417 if i include my wife in same application for express entry. If I only apply for me the score is coming as 440. I was suggested by few people that apply the PR only for me first. Then later point i can apply for wife and son. Is this legally valid?

My ielts score:
L:7.5, R:7, W:6, S:6.5

one option to increase the score is get the good Ielts score. but at this point i was looking for an option with out attempting another ielts if i can try PNP.

Advice pls.

440 is still not enough, I believe the lowest is around 470 right now. That being said, you can add your wife as non-accompanying and sponsor her later once you are in Canada. You cannot leave your wife out of the application altogether as you would not be able to sponsor her ever again. Retaking IELTS is the most straightforward way of increasing your score.

Thank you. That is why I was thinking to apply for PNP in stead of express entry. And yes I was planning for non-accompanying option. But I have another situation. I am already in canada with work permit. My wife will be coming and staying in canada with dependent visa. So if i apply PR with wife as non-accompanying then will that be a problem?

You need to post this question to the Express Entry section of the forum. This is where this topic is discussed. Yes - sometimes this has been a problem for people. Again, head over to the Express Entry section and post there / read through the historical discussions there.
