Can US Citizens living in USA drive to Canada to take a flight to UK?

Hello

I have a question. Friends and I are flying to the UK in the near future. I found out that the air prices are much cheaper to fly out of Toronto than the USA.

We all have passports. Can I legally drive to Toronto, park my car in long term parking at the airport then fly out to the UK then have a return flight back to Toronto a few weeks later and drive back to the USA.

The ticket prices are half what they cost flying out from the USA.

Will we run into custom problems since we're leaving from a country other than our home country, the USA? the same goes with returning to Canada from UK since we're US citizens.

Does anyone have experience with this process? Any help, advice is welcomed.

Thank You

Gumby78,

I believe you can this. I have done the opposite in multiple times: driving to U.S and flying out returning to U.S. Then driving back to Canada.

Couple of times, I took the Greyhound Service as well.

I will say you may have to show the tickets to Customs?

Hope someone else expert may suggest better?

Regards
