can two indian resident on study visa marry in canada??

i am an indian resident..my boyfriend is on a study permit to canada..we want to get married this year...but since he cannot come back to india n marry me...it growing difficult...would like to knw that is it possible that if i too go on a study permit there and then get married as per canada's law being indian resident...will it turn problematic?? kindly give me the best advice what i can do... :-\ :-\ :-\
