Can the Letter of Explanation be personal??

Hello all,

I am writing my letter of explanation. I have included a paragraph to clarify a couple of points regarding two documents in my profile. Then I wrote two paragraphs to talk about what this opportunity means to me. This part was personal.

Is this okay?

I know there isn't a set form for the LoE, but I don't want to risk having my application refused because the letter was deemed inappropriate since it has a personal story to it and not just mere explanations.

The Letter of Explanation is only meant to provide relevant context to other parts of your application (e.g. prior visa refusals, certain travel history, Canadian relatives).
