can the applicant leave their home country after the application is submitted?

HI..

I am new to the forum and have found a lot of useful insight and information. I do have question though. Once an application has been submitted to CIC, can the principal applicant leave his home country? My husband wants to go overseas to school but we want to ensure if he leaves his home country after we apply it will not affect our application.

I believe that is no problem, you would just have to let them know of the new address, since they might send him some correspondence.
