Can sponsor leave Canada after Pre-arrival services letter is received?

Hi All,
I had a question. After receiving the Pre-arrival services letter, can the sponsor leave Canada to stay with spouse till the rest of the application gets completed. I mean till the DM or does IRCC visa officer can still have doubts regarding the approval of the application? Does pre-arrival means a definite DM? Any thoughts from seniors on this one. Has anybody experienced this situation before.

No. Can leave for visits but best to keep short, less than a month(best two or three weeks) . PRs must be resident in Canada. If they decide you are not resident, start over.
