Dear all,

Hope you are doing well!
I have a query and it would be of great help if someone can help me with that. I am from India and my family owns a flat and a land. My questions are:
  1. Can I show it in the financial document list along with the bank statement?
  2. If yes, then which document should I show- the original document of the property, current evaluation of the property, or the yearly tax certificate?

You can show it to prove your home ties i.e. you will return to your country after completion of your studies. However, it will not be considered as a Proof of fund since you need to have liquid funds i.e. bank statements, fixed deposits, loan letters etc.

I've heard that for courses greater than 1 year you can show immovable assets as a Proof of fund from the second year onward. But not a 100% sure about this. But you definitely cannot show it as a proof of fund for first year tuition or living expenses

Get your property valuated and then give the valuation papers to a CA who can give you a net worth report. Upload both the valuation papers and the CA report with your application
