Can Private university Student Apply?

Hey!
I am about to done My BE in mechanical & soon I am going to apply for canada!
my question is that i am doing BE from Private university from Bhopal.
Where as my Other Friends Who will apply is in State university.
will it be Problem that i am a Private University student?

as long as the university you will apply to in Canada is on this list you should be ok: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/study-institutions-list.asp


PS: if you wanna stay and work after (post graduate work permit) keep in mind that some programs, even if from these schools, may not be eligible. Get in touch with people that completed them and got a PGWP.
